CALL TO ORDER
The meeting of the Hebron Town Council was officially called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Commissioner Rick Dwyer, with Commissioners Ron Ayers, Amelia Handy, David Hooper and Chester Sebald in attendance.
The minutes of September 18, 2013 were presented. Commissioner Hooper made a motion to approve the minutes as written and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Handy. The Motion was passed unanimously.
The report for September 2013 was emailed and given to each Commissioner.
There were none.
Whitetail Properties – Attorney Steve Cox will pursue this matter. First he will send a demand letter to the owners, and send it certified to know they received it.
Christmas Lights – Tony’s Electric will put the lights up the middle of November, and the lights will be turned on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Hibu Website – Commissioners Dwyer, Hooper and Ayers approved hibu as our web provider. A phone vote was taken to ensure the lower cost by September 30, 2013. It will take around six weeks to get the website up and running.
Other – The Commissioners want to work on a second draft for the curb appeal, have another workshop and then a public hearing. No date has been set yet. Also, Steve Cox will get a price from Code Publishers to go to print for subdivision and zoning.
Planning Nominee – Commissioner Ayers made a motion for Robyn Bernstein to be the new member of the Planning Commission. The Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hooper. The Motion was passed unanimously. Ron Ayers told the Commissioners that he will be retiring from the Planning Commission after twenty years.
Town Seal – Commissioner Handy wants a seal from the Town of Hebron for the MML building in Annapolis, so Hebron will be recognized. Commissioner Hooper made a motion to get a seal framed and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Sebald. The Motion was passed unanimously.
Fall Clean Up Day – Mary Purner contacted the County about this and October 12, 2013 has been set for residents of the town to take their trash and/or furniture to the Hebron dump at no cost to them.
Other – The SHA revenue has been revised from $11,250.02 (Eleven Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollar and Two Cents) in 2014, to $11,671.42 (Eleven Thousand Six Hundred Seventy One Dollars and Forty Two Cents) in 2015.
Other – Global Maintenance has submitted an estimate of $2,200.00 (Two Thousand Two Hundred Dollars) to paint the conference room at the Town Hall and to fix the painters door on the water tower. Commissioner Hooper made a motion to get this work done and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Ayers.
Commissioner Hooper made a motion to approve the checks for payment and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Handy. The Motion was passed unanimously.
A motion was made by Commissioner Sebald to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 p.m. and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Ayers. The Motion was passed unanimously.
